Short hunt before the fourth of July

Went out with Monte (whom I'm sure a few of you know) at a site in Forest Grove, Oregon, where 2 houses, probably '20's era, once stood. Didn't get much but this token. In the last 2 weeks, this is our 13th trade token. We've been on a token frienzy lately, holy cow! The last 3 times out I've recovered at least a wheatie which, while not that exciting to most, gets my heart pounding in anticipation for more. Gonna hit it again tomorrow before the parties begin.

Very nice token :beers: I can only get so excited about wheaters and then I peak but they're usually a good indicator that silver is there too.
 
Nice token. With such an unusual name, I did a census search in 1920. No match in Oregon, although there are a few Zenors there, but In Los Angeles, CA, there is a William T. Zenor who is a grocery and meat merchant living in the rear of 6247 Santa Monica Ave. Maybe his shop is in the front of 6247? He is 40 years old, born in Indiana. Congrats.

I've only found one token in almost 3 years back in the hobby. And I know that some folks get bored finding wheats, but I still love to find them. Especially when one ends up being a '14-D ! :super:

Went back today for 4 hours :cry: and got a piece of play money and another wheatie. Think I'm done with this place, that was some rough 'tectin'

Nice finds! I could not locate the Zenor token anywhere, including the Oregon Trade Tokens book. There was a Zenor or two listed in Gilbert & Sioux Rapids Iowas and Jasper, MN who issued tokens but not your token. You might try the local historical societies and dig through their old city directories. My guess is your token is from 1880s to perhaps 1900. Good luck & HH!
