[attachment 152052 old_broach_003.jpg]Went out in the backyard today with the Garrett. Only had about 20 minutes. Got a good signal that said it was a dime size. Dug up an old nail, but the hole tested for still another signal. Found this old broach. About the size of a quarter or a little smaller. Has 4 blue flowers on it. The back has the clasp brackets but no pin. Can't tell much about it, but at least it was a find. Ground was not all that hard to dig. Supposed to get 8" of that bad old white stuff this weekend.

That is pretty good. Your one dig was a keeper!

Congrats Doug for the nice find...even though there is no pin, it is still a good one to keep, sure better than old rusty nails or nothing! Hope the white stuff doesn't get too deep nor last too long, so you can go :detecting, again soon! Everyones' finds make me want to go out detecting again! Maybe I will in the Spring....just have to wait and see how I am physically to be able to do so! May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty

Always nice to find good stuff in your own yard.

Joan got tired of me digging in her indoor flower pots so I had to go out in the yard. :goodnight:

Well, DK, she could hide some coins or some relics inside when she is potting the flowers and that way you could find something, but don't leave a mess nor dirt on her floors or heaven help you! :) May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty
