Hardly worth posting about, but want to keep some hunting threads going for those stricken with "cabin fever," like Del......or at least he appears to have all the symptoms.:biggrin: Snuck in about 45 minutes at an old park between showers and actually hunted in a light mist with the LTD's screen covered with a baggie just to be on the same side. For my efforts, I ended up with a Boy Scout kerchief slide, 2 wheats, 23 and 46 and 2 later years nickels. The time was not a one hundred per cent cure, but relieved the "fever" a bit. TELL US MORE JIM!!----How deep was those wheats?---Was they very corroded?--- What was the year date on those nickels?---How old was the park you found 'em in? :rofl:-------I love finding those Boy Scouts ker-chief slides, we got a collection of them--some of them pretty old.---They got an official name but I forget what it is now.------When you goin out again for our next report---huh---huh?? :biggrin:-----Keep up the good work pardner--you're our "lifeline" to treasure hunting (for a lot of us)!!!-----This "cabin fever" ailment sounds DISGUSTING---I hope I never get it!! :wacko: -------Del
 
Del, the wheats were only about elbow deep. Perfect lock on with a good clear tone using high disc. and real low sen. :biggrin: They did have some corrosion and the nickels were both late 60's and the park dates well back into the 1800's. My next "lifeline" report is scheduled for tomorrow, probably later as suppose to rain until about noon, so do stay tuned. This "cabin fever thing" that's going around can be real nasty, so do be careful. If you feel like asking a bunch of questions, seek help with an immediate outing, even if its in the mud, snow or cold. You be careful, now ya hear. HH jim tn
 
I think Del has that "Cabin Fever" Affliction.. Del..hold your detector in your hands for 15 minutes a day..Turn it on run a coin over the coil. Listen to the beep..You should feel better in a short while.. :rofl:
 
I'VE TRIED THAT & IT DIDN'T HELP, ELTON! :lmfao:-----Have I got a "detector resistant" strain of cabin fever????-----You guys have got me REALLY CONCERNED now!!!! :look: :biggrin:
 
Ahhhhh, man, you've really got it bad. I saw the symptoms, but was really hopen for ya. There is only one cure now! A new top of the line detector and two plane tickets to a surf and sand spot. Goood luck, and please do keep us posted. HH jim tn

I usually sit back and read these posts, but I do have to add something about the surf and sand spot. I just returned from Key West. Even I am getting tired of extremely low temperatures and SNOW in SC. I was not able to take my detector, but while sitting on the beach I watched a well tanned man strolling the beach and wading in the water with his magic wand. (keep it clean boys). Into the sand and water goes the long handled sifter and up comes shells, trash and TREASURE. :clapping: Why didn't I bring my detector. I was so depressed that I went to a drinking establishment :drinking: (many drinking establishments) on Duval St to smack my head against the bar. :stretcher: Can't we all just be happy being tanned.

Suggestion for Del and other cabin fever sufferers...... Grab some metal stuff, climb into your attic. Hopefully your attic has blown insulation and not rolled. Close your eyes, throw the metal stuff in directions all around you. No peaking! Grab your detector and go. For those who still have SHAG CARPETING, you can stay downstairs and repeat the same process. You peeps will stay a bit warmer than those stumbling and bumping their heads above in their cold attics.
 
Your going to have to jump in that RV you have and head South... Your near "Fatal" condition Del..The only cure is drop coil on ground and detect..


You will feel better almost immediately Del..after an hour you will feel even better.and after 3 hours your gonna start smiling again..your head will clear, your aches and pains will start to go away.......You will be on the road to a full recovery..........
 
Del.... here are some more ideas for ya.
1) Got Cats? Load up on the scoopable litter. Dump it in the garage or bathtub. Have someone else hide the loot.
2) Go to your nearest McDonald that have the Kid Play Area. Kick the brats out of the ball tank. Throw the metal in. Dive in, and go to town. Wear a snorkel and mask in case you need to go under. Both land and beach detectors will work.
3) that's' all I have right now. Let me finish this rum and coke and I'll get back to ya
 
Just keep it up Jim, those finds are not bad, at least you can hunt.
