Shorter lower rod

New member
Does anyone have an idea about doing this?? I have a few ideas myself but I would like to hear others. Thanks Ron B

If the manufactured shorter lower rod is still not short enough, simply cut the rod and drill a new hole for the silver pop button Ron.

Thanks for the idea . I might try that. Ron B.

Ron.
I've cut two of mine short for the same reason. First, I put the lower rod in position to the middle section so that the button was located in the highest hole (for shortest overall height). next I grabbed a drill of the same diameter as the hole in the middle section and because the button is already engaged, this give you an accurate way of drilling a hole into the right part of the lower rod which means that it will make a perfect line for the coil to be centered when you use the new hole. pull out the lower rod and before you think of cutting it down, pull out the locater button from the lower rod. The first time I did this I left it in and cut it.. cut the lower rod at your desired length and then put the locater button back into the lower rod.
Job done.
Mick Evans.

Mick, Thanks for the info. I will give it a shot. Ron B.
