This is for a local Hotel that wants to show table settings for a travelling display unit and use on their webpage. This file was shot as an 18 meg uncompressed TIFF file and using studio flash with unbrella's.

Wow, that one really came out nice, that one matches any 35 quality I have ever seen.

Great job and congrats. Can you tell me what format you used to post the image on this site? Did you resize and reformat to JPEG? Also, you say you used strobe, but did you also use camera's flash as a "fill-in"? And the camera?
Again great job and now for the business cards, etc.

Fuji had it listed on their site as a professional camera and I didn't find it anywhere else last night looking for either reviews or prices... Looks to be truly expensive... <IMG SRC="/forums/images/smile.gif" BORDER=0 ALT=":)">
Good hunting... Guvner..

I jpeg'ed it down from tiff. I used 2 studio lights with unbrella on them to give it the soft look. I did not use the the pop-up flash that is on the camera. I triggered the 2 studio lights with a wireless digital transmitter and receiver. The transmitter was plugged into the hot-shoe on the camera.

Yep, that's one killer camera...
That Fuji sensor tech is really neat. I have a FinePix 4700 that I recently got. I bet it's a lot more affordable than the S-1 (paid $1300 Cdn after tax for it.) It's max output file size is just over 4 megapixels. Excellent image qality: one could probably print it at about 16" by 20" without the pixels being a problem. A full size image over-fills my 21" monitor ( set at 1600 by 1024 pixels). I'll post a few photos here when I get the time.
On a somewhat aligned topic... anyone know when someone's going to bring out a digital body for Pentax lenses?

I recommend everyone go take a look at Louis' page.
If you get a chance post a link to your camera...
Good shooting... Guvner..

The photos in the Xtreme Camera gallery are mostly scans of slides shot with my various Pentax 35 mm bodies. The square ones are 6x6 medium format prints: one from a Yashica twin-lens, the other two from a Hasselblad. The photos shot with the Fuji Fine-pix 4700 are on my finds page, under the heading Year 2000 finds. Everything on that page except the first image at the top is a 4700 image. I had to modify some of the shots of the coppers to bring out the detail: for the most part, the only mods to the other images were to brightness and contrast. I'm really impressed with the two solo ring shots. I've included a URL to a review of the camera below: hope it works.
I should add that so far I'm very happy with the 4700.
