go to lowes they have the best diggin tool made its a little shovell buy it and sharpen it with a grinder or use as is its 10.00 its the best its like 2.5 feet long not heavy and makes perfect circles
 
I believe that would be a flower bulb planting tool! Correct?

know that tool is about 12 long this is a shovel take my word for it i know what im talking about been detecting since i was 14 im 35 this simple shovel is the balls
 
I use a Lesche,it has a little weight to it but it can take the hard ground.I used it when the ground was frozen on top but not after a few inches of digging.It does cost -I paid 39.00 dollars but that was 7 years ago.I have had no problems with bending or cracking.

NO ,It Is Not 12" Long.It Is About 2'6"Long.You Can't Beat This Shovel.I Have Never Seen One Crack Or Brake.I'm Talking About The Older Leshe Shovel.You Must Not Be Know The Shovel I'm Talking About.
