silicone the o ring on pi pro?

It's a double edge sword.

First: one doesn't "grease" up the o-ring with silicone. You just apply a very light film of it on the o-ring. The silicone is not there to help waterproof it, it's there to lube the o-ring so it can move a little, not pinch up, and keep it soft.

The down side is the silicone will attract sand to it. That's not good at all.
