Snuck out after dinner tonight to a spot in town. The owner uses the lot to store road construction fill. When I heard that this fill was taken from our main street when they re-paved it 5 years ago, I sought permission to hunt it immediately. At this spot last year I found a '44 walking half and a 1919 wheatie. Looks very promising this year and it is literally within walking distance. This barber specimen is a perfect example of why I should be a little more careful when I am digging. Enjoy !!
