Silver and a Letter Opener

Clad2Hunt

Member
Hunted a large lot in the heart of the city. Errosion has ate away at this place so the islands around the trees and the front near the road were the best but some finds in the bare dirt. The Matchbox is from the 1967 Collection made in England by Lesney. Its a 2 pc. bus but the top is nowhere to be found. The letter opener is from a co that was in operation from 1867 to 1930. The only info I could find is where the same opener and in the same shape sold at auction just last year for 22.50 by Proxibid Auctions. When I saw the Malteze Cross I knew it was pre WW2. The 64 Rosie came at the end of the hunt after digging a bunch of caps. Also 4 wheats from the 40s and 50s, 23 pennies, 6 quarters, 19 dimes.

I like the matchbox car, that's pretty cool.... held up pretty well over the past 44 years, here's a turquoise variety.
