Silver,Another first for me

Sunday I went back to a local spot that has been good to me (supposedly hunted out).I think me and my SE are finally starting to bond. It is starting to show me it's secrets:clapping:.After nailing about $ 2.00 in clad , it sneaked this faint but delicious little squeal from a bunch of trashy signals.I got down about 6 or 7 inches and spotted silver. I got really pumped when I brushed off a little of the dirt and saw a Barber head, an 1899 Barber quarter to be precise I have found barber dimes but this was my first quarter. I just know there is more there, it used to be a trotting park in the 1800's and a lot of carnivals, circuses, etc since. The real beauty is it is less than 1/2 a mile from my house so I can go there anytime at all. This brings my silver count to 10 for the season... so far.

Nice silver collection...congrats !!!

Good job!!!

Nice Barber quarter.:clapping: Man, if what you said about the history of that area is true then there has to be a lot more oldies just waiting for you to dig up. Good luck on your next trip back. HH.
