silver coin ID help

The coin is silver and is a little bigger than a half dallar coin. The date looks like 1797, although the 7 is backwards. As you can see there are 3 stars at the top. <img src="http://www.findmall.com/gallery/albums/userpics/10829/IMG_0041_1_1.jpg" alt="" />
 
But the date is unclear particularly the 3rd letter from the left.
