Wife poured all her change out, I saw the silver right off the bat. !948 silver dime and a 1944 wheatie. I am anxious for spring! I better head south, my daughter lives near birmingham Alabama.

I received a silver 1940 quarter in change a few days ago. I guess some kid has been going through his parent's collection...

Welcome again Redfish034! With the economy the way it is and those who may not know how much silver and gold brings now, will be breaking their coin sets and spending them.....I believe that is why older coins are being found in change now! Of course, the kids may break in and spend the coins, also, as many don't know what they are worth above their face value! We told our two oldest kids not to let Tami, who was still young, spend our coin collection...but no worry now, as she is past 40 and the coin collection was split between my ex & me! A lot of people are hurting from losing their job or jobs! Sad time for the world with the conditions the way they are! This is why everyone needs Jesus to lean on and trust for their needs!
