Silver Sabre uMax Pinpoint ?

Found a deal on a Silver Sabre uMax in local classifieds and have a ? about the pinpoint mode. Is it vco like the Eldorado or non-vco?
Bought a new Silver uMax, then an Eldorado, now I'm considering a Silver Sabre. If my wife finds out!!!! If I could just get her into the hobby .

Good little detector - one of my favorites, but not VCO pinpoint, just all metal with the same tone as disc.
