Simplex comes alive before sunrise!

4:55 am I arrive at a large cleared lot where I pulled a fired Selma last night at dark. Within seconds, hunting with the simplex. After a few minutes in the 38 degree temps, I notice the vdi is slowing way down. Odd. It’s not that cold... bang first target. 66-68. Another Selma 5” down. For the next 45 minutes I worked outward in tight circles and recovered 7 bullets. 5 round balls, an enfield and another Selma. Go simplex! Packed up and went to the house to load up for work. Was at the house by 5:50 am. That’s productivity.
