Simplex plus vdi went crazy during water hunt

Im going to put something in the water hunt forum but wanted to ask here also... i have a simplex + and yesterday during a fully submerged fresh water hunt the vdi in all modes started going eradic,, best i can describe is it reminded when you tried to go submerged in salt water with a machine that wasnt for salt water... the screen seemed fine the vdi numbers where just bouncing uncontrollably from 4 to 90,,,

, i had this. Machine in this lake before with no problems,,, im wondering if the coil inside the housing go wet?

Any ideas?
