Since Minelab Stopped Making The Meter...

I believe that only leaves two options...They are either discontinuing the Sovereign or they are coming out with a new model that comes with a meter. If it's a new model that includes a meter I hope it is removable otherwise the Soveriegn probnably won't be chest mountable for water hunting anymore....unless the meter is in the box and the box mounts in an easy to see spot on the shaft. Coming out with a new model would make the price increase make more sense. Maybe in an Xterra control housing since that hardware already exists.
 
Interesting. Last year I toyed with the idea of getting a Sovereign GT but had no luck in finding a dealer with a meter in stock.

So is it confirmed that Minelab is no longer planning to manufacture the meter for the Sovereign GT? Or is this more or less specualtion since so many dealers have not been able to get their hands on any of them?
 
Minelab will no longer will be making meters for the Sovereigns as some of the parts are not available. This is getting me wondering if a new model Sovereign is coming out with a built in meter, or is Minelab going to discontinued the Sovereigns, haven't heard either way.
 
You guys need to check out the meter that Ron from Michigan is making .....They're the cat's a$$ .........They work GREAT and they are very accurate too .......I just got one from him ...... He really puts together a nice little package !!......:thumbup: .....Jim

What meter is that?
 
The meter that he made using a Centech digimeter as the basis for it ..... It works great .....Look for his threads on the meter ....I'll see what I can find ....Jim
