it may be helpful to post a bit about our interests in order to help out our Secret Santa's!! I think we all agree it's the thought that counts, but it can still be a bit intimidating buying for someone you don't know well....

Personally, I love coins, buttons, all types of music, christian fiction (both historical and romance), all things cooking and food and fishing and camping. Maybe that will help!?! Feel free to post even if you aren't participating....we might find we share more than mutual interests in Christ and metal detecting.

We live on a boat and a small one at that (30 feet). We are into MD'ing, sailing, my wife is an artist (see her stuff here http://www.etsy.com/shop/UniquelyMaryL?ref=em), we think small. Our biggest interest is missions!

Liz, You and I have too many twilight zone moments to be revealing anything else about ourselves so soon after our last revelation! lol

I like about anything . Coins, hunting, fishing, civil war stuff you get the idea I could go on all night. Not picky here.

I really enjoy woodworking, fishing, reading, detecting, and hanging out with the family.
And since we are all putting in our car orders mine would be a 1969 Firebird.
But I'm just glad I made a few new friends here!

Hey, Anything to do with MD'ing is good and all those 'guy things' like mini flashlights (the ones with multiply beams), folding knives, etc. By the same token ...yeah ... I like tokens! lol. A new set of tires, for my truck, would be a good thing.

Hey Sandtick, what sort of woodworking you into? I used to be a wooden boat shipwright but the years and customers took their toll. Made a living for a bit with a lathe in a portable trailer shop near the boat. Now tied to a big shop building furniture for the broadcast furniture industry if i can survive what's left of the economy. If you like old wooden planes I got 50 or so that I might hook up to good homes. Still rather get back to missions though...

Well, while ya all are putting your orders in to Santa, although I haven't entered the Christmas exchange, I am putting my order in to Santa and what I'm asking for isn't much....  Just enough money to pay off my debts and to purchase a new Motorhome for living in and possibly traveling with my sister if all should work out that way! Now that isn't too hard for God to do but depends on His plans for me and my sister! ;) :) Ma

Sailorman,
I'm more of a tinkerer. I'm gearing up to start making some bedroom furniture for a cottage. Probably craftsman style. I have always wanted to build boats. I've got two sets of boat plans I want to build in the future. Ones a Stevenson Vacationer the other is a Bolgers Sneakeasy.
Here are a couple of recent things I have done. The first is a wall shelving unit (being installed) for a client and the second is a slot car track for our pinewood derby event (My dad and brother in-law running the track).
Would love to see some of your work and others. Maybe we should start a thread with some photos of our hobbies, work and accomplishments.
