Snuck in 2 hours and 20 minutes in the woods before a good rain shower set in and it looked like it was going to hang over the woodlands for a while, so I called it a wrap since I still had a paint brush waiting for me to be used. Re-worked a piece I had hunted twice and tabman and Chris had just recently as it was fairly close to where we often park. Working right on the outer edge along one side I did run into a few keeper targets. Got a clad quarter, Mem cent and a nickel out of the same hole, right off. Not to long later I got the 49d Rosie dime. Just before I got the 1903 IH I got the 2 wheat backs, 36 and 37, within a foot of each other. I think the only reason I dug the IH target was because it had a little depth. It was a bouncy mid 50s reading and a solid mid tone in 3h tones. It was about 5" deep and maybe partially on edge? Anyway, when I located it with the pin pointer it was dirt caked so I just dropped it in my apron pocket. When I got to cleaning it up back home, the target turned out to be a pleasant surprise.
