Sledding hills.

This winter was a record snowfall in Michigan. I have a manmade site to search that saw a lot of action.
While I'm sure good targets can be found at any portion of the hill, where do you focus your attention if you have little time and a lot of trash to sort through?
Top, middle, bottom?
I have hunted one natural sledding hill a handful of years ago. I found no jewelry that I can recall but did find most pocket spills at the top.

I have found change all over those runs but look for spot where the most wrecks occur. Extended your coil shaft out as far as you can handle it and run as fast as you can. I don't even holster my pinpointer or my probe, just keep them in my hand. Detect, pin point, retrieve and move on.

I hunt a snow hill no gold yet no silver lots of clad & zippers and sled parts & nails & foil

I may not have had the luck of some others, but the parking areas (tailgate side) and where the most wipe-outs happened are my 2 first choices.
We tend to get a lot of sand/cinders mixed in with the parking lot snow (salt is not allowed in our forest areas). So sifting those piles will bring up some coin.
Also, any picnic area used durring sledding would be worth a look.

My two highest clad count days came on sledding hills. I use to think the bottom of the hill was where to be, but after walking up and down the hill I found clad all over. Where ever they wipe out is the place to look and I have found that can be anywhere on the hill.

Around here is always seemed to be towards the bottoms on the smaller hills. Last time there we found 2 buck in clad quarters just sitting on the surface there. But the bigger hills they tend to wipe out all over the thing scattering it where ever they may have landed. I look at the hill and think about if it looks like a hill that can easily be sledded down to the bottom before crashing or if its a big one that may be too fast for alot to make it all the way down.

Thanks for the feedback. Mosty looking for the jewelry but enjoy adding coin to my pouch also.

Finally got to the hill today. Only found 2 dimes and 3-4 pennies.
Looked like somebody beat me to the hill, but they missed a 10k woman's birth stone ring with an opal.
Sweet!
