sling for heavy coils, detectors

slingshot

Here's help for heavy coils, or detectors-it''s my modified version of another forum post. I use the thicker bungee and just wrap it around the handle and because of it's width it doesn't rub or mar the handle. Sorry for the bad camera-I'm actually much handsomer! This should help the older people, like Bill:rofl:

Forgot to mention, the strap came off an old computer bag and had the adjustable straps and snap buckles on both ends. I just bent the "s" hooks together and then all I had to do was unsnap one of the buckles to get one end of the bungee and wrap it around the handle.

It would be nice but someone else already has-the "swingy thingy" is what I think the name is. Besides, it sure makes me feel good to hear from the people on different forums telling me how it helped them return to their hobby because of elbow problems. I hurt my arm several years ago trying to swing a CZ-5 for 6 hours straight. I know I should have stopped when the shooting pains in my arm started-but the machine was finding so many coins that day. Then, all of a sudden it just collapsed. Now, every time I use a detector for over an hour, the pain can be felt, even with a light detector. I hunted with my CZ before I sold it and was able to last-and the Ace is just plain nothin' with this on.
