SLOW RESPONSE ON SE

You are hunting in a very trashy area and have too much disc for the SE to recover. Also, you may be running too hot for the area. Try Disc nails and crown caps only and run 26 auto sensitivity that works pretty well for me. Are you using FAST recovery?

Ferrous sounds and ironmask set at 30.
Takes out only the smallest iron and gives best view of what's in the ground.

I TRY TO HUNT IRON MASK AT 30 AND FERROUS SOUNDS ,BUT WHAT BUGS ME IS MOVING FROM ONE TARGET TO ANOTHER THE TONES CHANGE QUICKLY BUT THE SCREEN IS VERY SLOW TO SHOW TARGET .ANY SETTINGS I SHOULD CHANGE ? THANKS

Lowering your gain to 7 and a little less sensitivity should help a lot.
Try hunting by tone only. Don't bother with the screen and dig the better tones.
If you try this the next time out, I think you will understand, Tone first then Cursor.
You will get used to the low drone of iron and that will accent your better tones.
Give it 3 outings and you won't switch back.
Just my thoughts. ood luck.

I TRY TO HUNT BY TONES AND WATCH THE SCREEN TO BACK IT UP .TRYING TO DIG LESS SHOTGUN SHELLS AND MORE BUTTONS .TRYING TO USE DIGITAL TO TELL BETWEEN BUTTON AND SG SHELL .WHICH SETTING DO YOU USE FOR FAST AND DEEP ?

With the SE some say Deep on Fast off. Some say Deep and fast off. I've tried both and prefer Deep on Fast off.
BUTTONS Buttons come in all over the nickel to penny range and if you want all then you dig all.

I have the same problem as im still learning the machine, its like is pauses in between swinging it, i hunt in all metal ferrous, i dont mind digging everthing for the moment i just want to get use to the sounds. What i do is tone and then back it up with where the curser is, but like you said it takes a while to catch up and you have to swing over it again, or some times you get the dreeded overload!

Another thing for both of you to try is, raising the coil when this happens and see if that helps
.
