Small Coil Question

Does the small coil come with an extra lower rod? If not, how much is an extra rod?

I've found that having the spare coil on it's own lower rod doesn't make it that much easier to change coils. I've tried it a few times and went back to the normal way of changing coils.

It does work well with Minelabs though.
