Small Coin Spill

Went & played in the light rain for 2hrs. I got a real nice signal on the Safari was bouncing 38-40, sounded real good, thought it was silver, popped the plug & was disappointed when a 1965 clad quarter fell off the plug, checked again & found the silver 1953 Washington, checked again & found a 1962 & 1964 nickels in the same hole.

Very cool. I've never found clad and silver in the same hole. Makes you wonder how long befor most of the silver finally disappeared from circulation?

Yeah that was the 1st time I ever found silver & clad in the same hole.

Nice coin collection M.M.!!! The only coin spills I get are modern clad unfortunately but it's fun to get any spill. I came across a good spill 2 days ago and you think after getting 3 or 4 coins, your done but there is another coin and another coin and you hope for maybe some jewellery to go with the coins!!!! It's a bonus when they are pre-1964 90% silver one's!!!
