If toast always lands butter side down and cats always land
on their feet, what happens if you tied toast butter side up to
a cats back???

First, wind it out. Run that SENS on up. The small coil allows for this, and this helps to offset the loss in depth inherent in the small coils.

Then take it to somewhere really trashy, where there has been a lot of athletic or other physical activity. You know the 'modern' places you dread going to. Accept all the midrange notches from foil on up to zinc cent (or just hunt in Jewelry mode). Use the small coil to pick among the trash and you could turn up a decent piece of jewelry that all the OTHER trash leery detectorists have missed.

You will also get a lot of trash, until you learn how it responds. Even then, it will behoove you to dig everything that sounds good and anything you have cause to doubt.

The info is very much appreciated. if i do ok with the
coil i MAy know what im getting myself for Christmas!!!

take care
Ron

Thse coils are also handy for getting close to metal playground equipment where many a coin has been missed by detectors that won't work close to metal.
