Snorkel wire

Has anyone made one that they have proved works time and time again with out failing? I seen in previous posts some of you made them but seemed to be working on an improved model. I contacted XP and they said one should be available at years end but also stated how users are making their own.

I give up, what's a snorkel wire?, and why do I need one?

For hunting with the coil underwater where it can't transmit through the water to the headphones or controller.
