Snow hill hunt!

I just had to get out. I thought I would detect coins in the white fluffy stuff. Wrong. All those coins were on the hard frozen ground with an additional 1" of ice on top of that. Besides that I think the kids were aiming for me.

This place was a county park and this was there also. Not old enough for me to detect. Well at least in this type of frozen tundra.

Than people kept asking me about my Ace. I need to get a kick back from Kellyco. They wouldn't leave me alone.
So as the sun was waning and I was wining I thought it was time to go.

Snow hunts are hard!! Best time to hit the slopes with my detector? Springtime!!!

You don't do snow hunts with the intention of finding a lot of loot, but it sure takes the bite out of the winter Blah's. I bet you sleep well tonite.... :)

I thought that was funny also. It was the first coin I found.

John-Edmonton planted that coin there:rofl:

Yeah that white stuff sucks, Only the Canadian Snowman braves that kind of stuff. When I was a kid I loved that stuff but we all know kids ain't got no brains. You done about as well as me today. I scrounged up a lousy 97 cents but it was sunny and 65 here and I couldn't resist getting out there.

Hey John, what's the oldest Canadian penny you have. I got an oldie I might send you. Think it's a 1921.

Right on. I 've been out twice this winter and it feels good to know that my pin pointing is still pretty sharp.

With a snow hunt your pp better be right on or you will pay. Chipping ice is no fun.

I hate the cold!!!! I came up with an1888 large Canadian penny. At first I thought I had found a quarter then I saw it was a one cent piece cleaned it up a little and realized it was a foreign coin. Gary
