Had to work today, and I wanted to add some more loot towards my annual gold coin. I hit a popular toboggan hill after work and hunted until it got dark out. I tried to hunt right after work, but there were a bunch of young snow rats playing on their toboggans, so I opted to not get run over and return later. This snowman is in front of our house. My daughter was angry because someone had bust his head in half. I said no problem, we will cover the missing piece with a baseball cap and add a couple of detectors to give the snowman a better profile.

I had a great evening. I nearly broke the ten dollar mark, which is pretty got for about an hours worth of hunting. The temperature got a couple of degrees above freezing today, and our snow is slowly starting to melt.

when you say you hunt a toboggan hill where do you hunt at? the very bottom?

I tend to go up and down...from where they start, to where they stop. I find most of my coins from about the halfway point on the hill to the bottom. Lots of extra coins where there are lots of bumbs. It's best to go just after they are done using the hill, as a lot of people will do the hill the following morning eyeballing the coins.......not good for us detect'n guys.
