Snow Search and Recovery

A late afternoon call from a friend that runs a paintball field led me to get up early Sunday. One of his customers lost their keys. 40 acres of playing fields and again the fresh snow a lot of us received Friday. 3 hours later along with one aluminum hunting arrow with the broadhead, one set of glasses and two nickles I then found the keys. It was a good thing, One key on that ring went to a secure area and thats all I am allowed to say about it. The guy was very happy they were found and now is a big fan of metal detectors! I am happy the display worked seeing how cold it was < 20 deg. And to think I was just ready to pull the batteries for the winter..

jimb - ditto also with the others, good deed, but I must say you sure looked cooooollllld in the picture, been a few years since I was up North, loved the snow - but hated that cold.

North Florida's home and I means to stay, it gets cold in the morning now, but can still hit the 70's in the afternoon and soooooo good for detecting! Hope you get to hunt again and stay warm - soonest.

Wide Eyed and Wide Open.:surprised:

WTG jimb just charge the batteries, strap some hand warmer bags on the control box and keep on swinging.

Thanks for all the comments. Yes,it was cold but I can still look forward for it to drop another 50 degrees for at least 3 days this winter. That is cold enough for me. The coil is a Platypus. I like it a lot and is mainly all I use to hunt around here.
Try hunting your local paintball field. I have had good luck at both of the ones around here. Every bunker people hide behind is a change drop spot. People use the rental jump suits and leave the change in their pockets from buying soda and then crawl on the ground. Plus, leave your number with the owner because people all ways loose stuff that needs to be found. I have had 4 calls this year and found 3 of the 4. The first set of keys was never reported but had an ID tag on it from a local buisiness. I just dropped them off and they did the rest.
