I called Minelab today and they reassured me if I had the reoccuring split screen/pac man type of thing...they would take of it. It has happenned to a few others besides me. I have messed with the settings quite a bit and it did settle down somewhat. It's strange..but each and every place almost always requires tweaking the settings some. My unit was very erratic...not just the screen problem...but audio and target ID etc. I will give it a few more days of experimenting and playing with the settings before sending it to Minelab. If I get the split screen again though they told me to go ahead and send it in. I was out for an hour this morning and it didn't do it. I'm headed out for another couple of hours right now. Thanks to everyone...and I mean everyone...sorry not to menntion all of your names...because the different settings are starting to help me out.
I am a little confused on the ID sometimes though. Many times I sweep over a target and get a sound but NO cursor OR numbers if I switch to digital??

Hi Bryce,

I had the same problem as you with my SE, I emailed pics of the split screen the Minelab and they said to send it in straight away, They replaced the Display and said that in some of the display screens the tolerances did not come up to scratch, It was sent to Minelab in South Australia and in one week I had it back (fantastic service) and I have had no problems with it since.
My best recommendation is to send it in and get it repaired.
Hope this helps...Regards....Boony
