I just purchased my New Xterra Elite about 10 days ago. Just playing around on my phone today. I see Kellyco has the Xterra Pro on sale for $250ish. Intrigued, I then find a coupon. $237 total for an Xterra Pro, I react and buy. Do I need it? NO. But I just couldn't resist. So to justify, I tell myself. Use the PRO with V8x coil for parks and old homestead. Then the ELITE for Beaches and fields with V12x coil.

I have the same, but I use the 5x10 Coiltek on the Elite. I have done side by side tests of the two on signals in the pastures in CW campsites and found both to be about the same signal and depth wise. The Elite seems to be a little unstable to me yet in multi mode with the 15kHz mode the same as the XTP.

It will not take long for that XTP to pay for itself at that price!!!
No brainer in my opinion and the coils are interchangeable between both models, so you have a great backup!
I bought one on sale a couple years ago and it has paid for itself a few times over already!
