Today i went detecting and brought along the scoop i've made a few weeks ago using a carbon fiber handle. I used a few times and couldn't get gold with it... i must have used it 5 or 6 times and still could only get silver... while my buddy luke was getting the gold. Fortunatly i did hunted a few drained lakes in between so my gold count improved but i was wonderring when i'd see the yellow color in my scoop. Last week i did find some kind of gold with it (a silver ring with gold overlay and a small gold letter) but i wanted the real stuff.
Well i hunted a half empty lake, doing the dry part at first using my shovel, the in the afternoon i went in the water and FINALLY, got a small 2,2 gr gold ring. It's small, but it's the right stuff, so I guess the curse if off now !
