So, what's on your Christmas "wish list?"

A new model to be developed? If so, what do you think they ought to do this time to produce a model with features & functions that YOU want?
Perhaps a new coil to be offered? If so, for which model group and what size/design do you wish it would be?
Here's one to ponder. If your <EM>'wish'</EM> could be to trade-off any Tesoro model you have for a different Tesoro model, which <IMG SRC="/metal/html/tesoro.gif" BORDER=0 width=45 height=18 ALT="t~"> unit would you get rid of, and which <IMG SRC="/metal/html/tesoro.gif" BORDER=0 width=45 height=18 ALT="t~"> model would you get? Straight trade, Tesoro for Tesoro?
Happy Holidays!

After 37 or 38 years in this hobby to find my first GOLD coin,

Warmer weather like in Arizona. Was getting ready to head out the door this morning and here it comes. Maybe one to two feet of snow and possibly sleet on top. So my detecting will be put on hold for at least another week. Is there anybody out there who would like to trade a "white Christmas" for some nice warm weather where you live???

I also would like to find a gold coin..But i would like to try a Cortes or a deleon. Never had a tid detector. Currently have a Conquisatdor,Silver sabre umax and a tejon.

Well, if it's time to dream, how about a modified version of an existing model.
Let's start with, oh, how about the DeLeon. Let's start by changing the color scheme to something closer to the Tejon. Then add a 10 turn Ground Balance knob, and hopefully an SAT knob. Why not let the user decide if they want a fast SAT or slow SAT since everyone's ground conditions, or personal tastes, will differ?
Now, underneath the control box (and it's ok if the box is slightly larger than the Deleon) let's add a 3-position toggle control. If you pull the trigger it will lock in place for a full time, TRUE non-motion, VCO pinpoint, and if you want, full time all-metal VCO search mode.
With the toggle switch in the center position you hunt in DISC mode.
With the toggle in the locked forward position we have the ability to hunt full time in an all-metal non-VCO motion mode with SAT adjustments made from the knob on the control box to adjust the SAT to a fast or slow Self Adjusting Threshold.
The smaller 3-position toggle on the faceplate would be used for VCO on/off (allowing for a full time NON-motion all-metal mode with or without VCO) and also the battery test would be the final position of the smaller toggle. Oh, let's not forget that the meter would ID in all modes of hunting, and the GB knob would work for both all-metal and DISC mode. DISC mode would be ED-180 (full range) with numbers and not names on the faceplate to determine the level of DISC. What the heck, lets add 4-tone audio ID as well.
As far as the TONE knob as on the Tejon, if it can be fit into the housing and not overcrowd the faceplate, go for it. Put in on there too. But like I side, a slightly larger control box would still keep the new TESORO lighter than other makes and models out there.

I like you Monte, I like Ronnie's GF more. <img src="/metal/html/lol.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":lol">

I cant think of one that I would trade my Cortes for. Not a one.

Thats easy... A Cleansweep Coil for the Tejon.. Would get the best of both worlds. Depth and coverage.

Hello Monte <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":)">
From an English point of view... lol
I would like to see the micromax with ED120 Not the 180 discrim.I have the 120 on my silverII and works better on our HIGH Iron Infested fields.
More options on Manual-fixed Ground balance..My ''Euro-eldo''has a mod fitted that allows me the option of (Fixed or manual) balance.I'm not sure about the other micromax machines but mine has a (3/4) turn balance NOT 3 3/4 turn? From 9.00 It runs to negative at 6.00 clockwise..huh <img src="/metal/html/shocked.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":shock"> It Is VERY easy to ground balance <img src="/metal/html/wink.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=";)">The FIXED balance Is set a bit to positive but runs very quiet. Perhaps Tesoro could use this on new micro units?

We'll never have that. I would like to try a Tesoro Bandito or Bandito II umax. Maybe if I get sick of my Cortes, I'll trade down. One thing I would like to see would be an eliptical shaped coil to use on the Cortes. Something that you could manuever around trash, that would pinpoint as easily as the Cleansweep, and would have decent depth. Maybe the current 7 or 4 inchers can do that, but I havent tried them out yet. And it would be nice if we all just got along too! Happy Christmas, Merry Hanukkah, and a Jolly Kwanza to all

she's someones girlfriend...and you should be encouraging this guy to be keeping his pics of her to himself.

One which will lay bare the beaches and expose centuries old treasure !
Now, is that too much to ask ?

I would STILL like to see Tesoro (or any manufacturer) build a machine with full manual control functions and a single LARGE numerical meter that reads ONLY the relative conductivity value number of the metal under the coil..... regardless of the size of the target...... <img src="/metal/html/biggrin.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":D">
Yeah, I know..... PHATTTTT chance !

While your at it, throw in a couple of westbound tornados to blow some of that "treasure" over into Arkansas. <img src="/metal/html/frown.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":(">
