So when did the Excalibur II become a discriminating PI?

i would say run it in Pinpoint (All Metal) which usually gets better depth and have it act as a PI unit, then switch on the Disc when you find a target...
so you get a discriminating PI detector......

The Detector is a VLF and the factory claims that it is close to PI performance. The Excalibur is a discriminator and All metal. All metal is the deeper setting and it is this that is close to PI performance as claimed by the factory. The Ad was a misprint.
