What are odds to find four buffalo nickles -

You only get one nickle in change for a dollar - where as you get three quarters, two dimes, four pennies!!

Any advice cleaning these better would be greatly appreciated

Nice bird, can't be a pirate without one  Nice nut too (see I've been learning some lingo from the water forum.

As I mentioned before - put the nickels in ketchup - good ol' Heinz works great. Put them in a big dollop in a plastic bag. Change the ketchup when it turns dark. Should take a couple of days, but they'll clean up nice. Trust me on this one matey!!

Nope have never hunted in the lane....but you kind of caught my attention here and I've been in touch with my friend BdaHunter via email. Also started eyeing the Water Detecting forum and had me timbers shivered with the amount of gold/silver/ice you scalleywags're pulling up from the deep! :yikes: Seems like you have a whole other lingo there and a lot for me to learn. I've only been doing parks etc. for about 6 years with the XS - but always on land. Would love to have someone take me out and show me the ropes sometime. Where're ya located mate?

I don't recall to many off days since you started and looks to me as if you've finally entered the realm of old coin hunter, but in the water instead of land. Those are really nice Buff's.Congrat's. and WTG

Nice finds once again MrChile! Love the RedNeck Fishing Weight! Strange that you aren't finding more silver with the amount of Buffalo Nickels you found there. Must have been cherry picked before for coins and they just left the nickels due to not wanting to dig trash. Great finds and can't wait to see what you come up with next. Good Luck and HH.
