Some farm field finds

Got a couple hours today to hunt a field while it was still diggable. I tried Iron Mask wide open today because the hay was still 4-5" high and I needed the depth. I guess the hay thinks it's time to start growing again. I turned down the volume and ran Semi Auto at 30 and listened for the high notes amid the iron drone. I found out I could pick them out better at -16 then I ever did at -15 and I dug some deep targets. Bob, I tried wide open before but I was determined this time to stick with it and not chicken out.

Sorry, not a great picture, but the Indian is 1900, there's a Pond's cold cream jar and cover, a little shell clasp, a crotal bell and what I think is a Civil War Navy button. Maybe we'll be digging straight through this year. Ron

Isn't it better to hear what you've been missing? In other words, hearing the iron and whats around it is better than waiting for the threshold tone to come back and hope you didn't miss anything.
Congrats on the finds and that great button.

It's a different world from -15 to -16, I should've listened sooner. Thanks, Grasshopper.
