I found the two items on the left last
year at a ghost town site. The plate like
thing on the right I found a couple of weeks ago at a fairgrounds. It looks like
a printing plate or a mold of some kind.

AAron is correct, that is definately a horse harness rosette, and you are correct on the printing plate. The center piece appears to be decorative brass off a clock,cast picture frame, or some other decorative item. Dale
P.S. The rosette you have was designed to be flashy and reflective.
 
At the link below, Tony(NC) posted a neat trick a while ago to bring out detail on a printing plate. By sprinkling baby powder, talc powder or even corn starch on the plate and then wiping it away from the high spots, you'll get a clearer veiw of the image.
