Went to some schools out of town today - all day. Got a bunch of coins, 3 rings of which one is 10 K, pair of pliers and a tired body.

Here's the 3 rings. The far left one is stamped 10 K and has 3 stones that could be diamonds. I'll check them this week. The top ring is the typical India stamped - I have dug several of them and they always look just like silver. The green stone ring is gold plated.

This climbing cage was where I dug the gold ring. It was found inside and one only has to swing slowly between the metal rods and listen for that extra signal. I might add that I found no other coins or stuff inside other than the ring. Steve in so az

Looks like a good day to me. You may have just inspired me. Might go back to that schoolground where you found the Sacajawea, sasquatch, sasparilla, or whatever it is coin. Anyway, great digs man!

Takes patience to listen near them poles! That green one looks older?

does look older all right. Sure thought it was gold also , but not to be for as I straightened it out it began to flake off gold. Steve

I have a local school like that in my area that I hunt, digging them quarters adds up quick, helps on paying for the gas.Great Job.

usually I get around those bars and I have to reduce the sensitivity and if too much for the detector I have to drop to a smaller coil.

Ya done good Steve.

The Lord sends out his angels ahead of you and empties pockets and ring fingers. Great find's. I'd be done for the year.

I can get to within 2-3 inches with my Fisher 8 inch coil. I dug about 12 coins today right up against the metal. Steve

as metal - good or bad - on the Garretts I've had. I can't imagine the poles being plastic coated wood. I could go right up to touching the coil against whatever it was with not a peep out of the machine....
which did help me find a few finds maybe others stayed away from because they thought they'd have problems with the poles.
