Some more finds from the yard

Just wanted to show some more finds from my brother's yard where I found the flying eagle earlier. I am really liking what I'm finding in this yard. Lots of fun.

Here are a few of the identified items. 2- 1952d Wheats, 1- 1944 Mexican 20 Centavos that looks like it had a loop soldered to it to wear on a neckchain, and a 1905 pat. date silver plated spoon. Picture 4 I think is a suspender clip? It has teeth on the back side and is dated 1871. I will post some of the odd finds in part 2 of this message.

Thanks for looking.

Great finds, Looks like you really scored in getting access to this backyard! What coil are you using and how deep are the targets? I'm sure your really hitting hard now ! good for you, Grant

Grant, I have used the 6" 7.5 khz, 9" 3khz in this yard so far. I tried to use the 10.5" today but definitely need more practice with it. Most good finds have been in the 5 to 8 inch range. I just finished hunting the same yard again today but found lots of nothing. The only thing interesting was an old rolled sardine can lid with the key intact. Not even a Wheatie today.

Thanks, Beale, Any advice on how to clean the spoon better?

I am no expert, but I have found 5 spoons! I dunno a nice soak in hot soapy water and a soft tooth brush? Most of mine I left as they were. Is their any hallmarks or other writing on the spoon? If so you can go to Replacements Ltd. and hunt for the pattern. It would giv you an idea how old the spoon is, Beale.
