32 years ago Garrett offered a BFO-VLF-TR. A choice for everyone. The Red Baron 7 was one of the best ever made by Bounty Hunter.

Hey cool. I never new that Bounty Hunter made those Red Barons. You used to see those all the time. I've got those old Garrett "Coin Hunter" machines. BFO and VLF/TR. It's fun to swing them around every once in a while.

We really appreciate you sharing this with us Uncle Willy. I guess if we never looked back, we wouldn't move forward much:biggrin:Happy Hunting!:)

I had one of those Red Barons, kind of heavy for me and you had to whip them in disc mode, but they would go deep. finally sold it as too hard on my erist and arm. HH Ken
 
Yeah they were one of the first "motion detectors" and they had to be whipped to get decent depth andaccurate discrimination. Thankfully they corrected that in later years.
