some of my coin collections

Magyar

New member
I know these are in disarray; I just can't seem to get into coin collecting; I just happen to find them at the beach and I save them in bags in a box

Treasurefiend, you put me to shame with your neat collection

Someday , I will have to get them organized into books, boards..or whatever ..but right now

I am more interested in saving the rings I find ...I have them all neatly in ring boxes.

Thanks for looking at pics of my pitiful coin collection

I will have to post a pic of the obverse of the last coin...in another post...it is a 1918 penny from England that I found in the sand at a beach

Cool!!!!

took the time to organize them when detecting while my youngest daughter was still at home! Was too busy going out as often as my ex and I could, keeping house, cooking & etc. Then when they both left, I went out practically every day for several years while I also wrote poems and went to church driving 2 hours back and forth to get there and back. It was truly a church that I loved to attend, where I was truly saved and felt comfortable with the country folk. I was raised on a farm in Southeast MO, so that's my territory! Then I could't drive all that way once or twice a week any longer and begin to attend a church in Caseyville, IL. about 1/2 hours drive....loved it too! But I became too ill to go there, so I have quit attending any church, but still keep in touch with my former pastor and his wife!

I worked nights and then days at the Lutheran Church Mo-Synod, so that cut some of my detecting time out but still went once in a while when I could! I was writing poems too....I have over 3000 of them written and composed by God's Holy Spirit........therefore, I never sorted or did anything with my coins in several years. I do have many in the plastic coin holders....Some of my better ones! I will show them on the CMD Forum when I get to know this new program better and I find them.......with redoing my house.....everything is a mess and in boxes scattered here and there, so later aligator for seeing my coins and other collections!

Congrats on yours.......I like the misc. ones.....reallty nice!

God Bless!

than I have...except maybe Wheaties...but I'll work hard to catch up to ya

Congrats on those great finds. Even a British 1918 One Penny..Cool. Never found one that old even when I was in England...though I did find Roman coins :)

You'll catch up , Pete, and pass me by with coin finds..I am sure.
That British coin was a surprise..found it in a sandy playground at the beach.

I would love to find a Roman coin; I'd probably faint right on the spot if I ever found one!

I gave ALL my British finds to my step-mother's Mom. She was born in England and was brought to the U.S.A. as a child. She LOVED these items. When she passed away many years later my step-mother got them. Each time I wanted to take a picture of what she had - especially the Royal Army Catering Corp medallion - she came up with some excuse to produce them the next time I came. After she passed away I asked my Dad about them. I guess he was still lost without his wife. Never got them from him. When he passed away I had to go through all their things. The British items were never found, neither was the deer rifle he owned or the Macintosh computer he had. What else had disappeared I'll never know. All I have is one picture of some of my British finds...

The coins on the right are American. The left are British and 3 at the bottom are Roman. The Royal Army Catering Corp medallion is on the right about half way up by the American coins.

These are the only pictures I have of the items I found. Had other pictures but all are gone except this one of me using a Garrett Master Hunter BFO (top of the line Garrett at the time).

Whoever got those items will not value them as much as I would.

Pete, I'm sorry that you were not able to get possession of these fabulous, rare coins , medallion, and tooth paste container from so long ago.

I know you would have deeply appreciated and cherished these items .

this does happen so often ...it happened to me with photographs that I so wanted after a relative passed away..I was promised the photographs, but never received them ..even after several requests... I have just the memories .

Nice photo with the Garrett
