I got some time off work & did a little relic hunting the last couple days. I used my F19 & the NEL Attack coil. My find of the weekend was a 1782 1 reale. Thanks for looking. HH

Its a shot bullet that the soldier carved into a fishing sinker. I was hunting within a mile of Antietam creek when I found it. The old do the best with what you have comes to mind. HH

The deepest was @ 8". Nothing really deep this time out. Everything was close to iron.

Very nice.

I was rained out this weekend. :sadwalk:

I found a large cent a eagle I button a j hook & two bullets there. One was a nose cast three ringer & a Gardner & that 1 reale. And a bunch of trash that was spread on the fields. I find cool stuff in trash. Iron & all of the above. I picked a piece of foil up & swung the spot that it was & a bullet. There were troops all over the place. Both sides buddy. All of the creek crossings were contested. A good spot to camp must have been a good spot to camp for a long time. The one I found is out of the way. HH

Great hunt, love the reale

I've found one 1 reale, a 1776, and it remains the oldest coin I've found in California so far :detecting:

Thanks buddy. That's a old coin you found. HH TIM

That's some nice historic finds you recovered. Yeah, I would like to see a reale in one of my colds, too. Good hunting! HH jim tn

I'm more impressed with the F19 every time I use it. Thanks for the headsup George K.

Yes very easy to use. Pretty deep to. Its done it all for me so far. The stock coil is mad in iron. I put a big coil on for open area's & it does get pretty good depth. I found the reale with a 15" NEL coil. The only thing I have a gripe with is I have to put on my glasses to read the menu. That's it great machine
