Some recent "non-coin" finds.....

I consider myself a coinshooter. But it seems that recently I've been finding about as much "non-coin" treasure as I have coins. Here is a pic of some of the "non-coin" items I've dug over the past few weeks. The little thing at the lower left is the UniRoyal gizmo I put up earlier in the week. It is the same size as an IH penny, for reference. The token beside it is a Captain Midnight decoder badge. The large alumimum token is to commemorate Cecil B DeMille's 1939 movie "Union Pacific". The small token in the lower right is an Oklahoma 5 cent tax token. The aluminum item above it is a 1945 French 5 Francs. To the left of that is either some sort of small locket (or maybe a snuff box?). The old car is a 1918 Chevrolet with all four metal wheels intact. I'm stumped as to what the oval object with the embossed image of the lady would be? The top row includes a toy gun, an old compact and another broach with fake stones. The ring on the top row is costume jewelry. But the gold ring is 10K and has two of the three red stones still in place. If anyone has any further information on any of these, I'd appreciate hearing from you. Thanks for looking. HH Randy

Life's like metal detecting; you never know what you're goin' ta get.:poke: Although they may not be valuable finds, I bet you enjoyed pulling them out of the ground and being surprised at what they were. The Chevy would have been a sweet find. Thanks for posting them Randy.

Gongrats on the Gold Randy! That is sweet! My 2 favorite items are the car and the pistol! Sweet, Beale.

I've said it before...Sometimes it is much more entertaining to find , "stuff" then coins.

Non-coin finds give you a great insight into day to day living in decades past. Always fascinating!
