Got a short real early hunt in this morning that produced nothing but clad and cents. After a couple of projects with my wife, ventured out for a couple of hours this afternoon to one of those spots that has been picked pretty clean, but had been a good producer in its better days. In two hours of hunting, I only garnered up 4 coins, but 3 were good ones. 1917 wheat, n/d Buffalo and a 53 Rosie. The Rosie was within 2" of the bigger piece of metal in the picture. Got the Rosie first, then dug the metal object just to see what it was. On a side note, what a difference a year makes. Last year we were in a serious drought with temps in July of well into triple digits. This year we haven't hit 90 yet in July and we are 10" or so above normal in rainfall. Had a nice shower again last night. LTD with 5" coil. HH jim tn
Those buff nickels are a pretty coin alright. Nice work on the hunt there!
