Someone in the world knows

I've read where Fisher has hidden secret setting in the F75. Now some of these we know already, like, disc below 5 or above 20, puts the F75 into a more sensitive mode. But the one I've read about is in all metal mode with the threshold set at either -2 or +7. If anyone in the world knows, please explain.

Mark I didnt even know about the two you mentioned, will have to try them on next time out with my F75.

Thanks,
Neil

The only setting your describing is
Static All Metal Mode threshold is internally fixed.

markg,

Could you be thinking of the guy that claimed putting the F75 in the highest frequency setting gave it a secret boost? Just a thought.

Silverman777 has posted the he uses the F7 frequency, on the T-2 for that reason.

I've got a good bit of time in with the F 75, well over 3,000 hours over the past 21/2 years, and have tried every combination of settings and am not aware or can determine that any of the 7 frequencies are any more sensitive then the other 6. Frequency shifting has it place, but for added sensitivity with all things being equal, I've not found this to be the case. HH jim tn

At -3 threshold 8"s same weak audio, at -5 threshold 7"s same weak audio. Now in BP mode different story you get more depth but I will let you guys figure that out. I set the Sen at 80, kept the last G/B I used the machine at and it was 74 and I never fast grab always do a manual. Sometimes I need a little more Pos. G/B then other times. Remember this you must adjust the freq. to quieten down your detector and this time it was F6. Sometimes I have to go as low as F3. Just depends on the noise. First thing you do is G/B then adjust the Freq. and go check G/B again cause it will throw the balance off in a very noisy area. Always remember there are 5 clicks between each number you adjust on the f75 no matter what it is. It does matter especially at the beach and very bad ground.

You would just think I was hyping the F75LTD if I told you the difference in depth. I would not want to be called a Hype stirring guy like Buckeye Brad and some of these other guys  that are telling you the truth when they say the LTD is one Bad AZZ machine. Sorry Brad :poke: I could not resist. We know though don't we. .

One last thing on the F75LTD. The footprint on the 5" coil and the 3X6" coil when you are in BP mode makes the coil 2 more "s wider. So instead of a 5" coil at SEN. of say 70 it has just become a 7" coil and the 3X6 you get 2 more "s of width also. So if you are hunting the iron and the trash like I hunt turn the Bitch down in BP or you are going to have a tough time in the trash and the iron. In the simi Trash and Iron the larger foot print is a benefit cause you are working with a larger footprint and can cover more ground. So the BP footprint can be a bad thing but it can be a good thing just depends how and where you are hunting.

One other thing my F75LTD runs a lot quieter then my F75 in Dis and All metal. I can't wait to go to Fl and hunt on those black sand wet salt water beaches I hunt. That will be next month in Jan.. You all know the F75 won't hunt on the Black Sand salt water beaches don't you . Yeah right. More Hype Brad, again I could not resist. I told them all that 2 years ago.

One more thing the Freq. numbers do have a effect on the Dis mode. I really don't think the threshold has a effect on the dis. mode. I never noticed it but I really never tried to do any testing with it. If it does someone let me know will you. :D: :D: HH and I am just another HYPE stirring old guy and nobody should believe me. Just check it out for yourself. What I noticed in the all metal mode is like cranking the threshold up on one of my Tesoro's. Sort of like super tuning it. :D: :D: Later, Jerry aka Tinfoil

I have had one hell of a bad year this past year with all this damn Prostrate Cancer and Skin Cancer. can't seem to get away from the damn doctors. Everything is OK now and I can get back out hunting.

I sent markg the Static All metal mode trick. A fellow told me about it a year ago so I told Markg about it. I honestly haven't tried it. I might next time i go out and hunt. Right now I am getting about 8 to 9 inch solid readings in Je mode using the F70 coil. It is different than using the stock coil for sure.

Jerry, I am very sorry to hear about your Cancer, but so glad to hear you are on the mend. I for one did think from the reports that the LTD was the real deal and not just hype, but glad to see from your post that for sure it's not. Your comments on the small coil footprint in the BP mode is pretty interesting and good to know for LTD users. Hope to see you are out swinging again. Good luck, HH jim tn
