Am I nutz or are they both equipped with the same coil????? How can this be??? I thought coil configurations for PI and VLF were radicaly different?? Somebody enlighten me...

Yes, they are the SAME SIZE but no, they are NOT THE SAME. You cannot use a VLF coil on a PI machine. The BHID coil is nothing more than the new Super 12. The DFPI coil is the same coil used on the new Pulse Scan TDI. Both coils come in the "Surfmaster Yellow".

What I'm saying is they seem to have the same housing. Look at the pics of them.

That would be correct. They do use the same housing. Internally they are configured differently.
