Something to drool about. This weekends finds.:surprised:

Had another terrific outing at the new site. Decided to take Tim Pazdernik and Dan Westman with and this was Dan's first 14 Silver day ever, so I am glad I made that happen for him. I will start out with Tim and Dan's Totals. No Pics but got the numbers and what fun they had, even though it was in the mid 90's! Tim's finds were 1 Walking Liberty Half, 1 World's Fair Token, 1 Barber Dime, 4 Mercury Dimes, 1 Roosevelt Dime, 2 Older Jefferson Nickels, 2 Indian Heads, 28 Wheat Pennies, and a Silver Ring with some Misc. Pins. Good Haul Tim! One of the Wheats was a 1924-d. Now for "Barber" Dan's totals. He found 2 Barber Quarters, 1 Standing Liberty Quarter dated 1917-d Variety 1 in VF-EF Condition booking in at I figure $80-$120, 3 Barber Dimes, 8 Mercury Dimes, 1 Indian Head, and 28 Wheat Pennies. This was a Hunt that Dan won't ever forget and I am glad to see him bring home a haul like that for once. Now for my totals for Saturday and Sunday. Sunday I should have had more finds but I had to wait out a Thunderstorm until 10:00am and then the hunt was on. I found 16 Silver with 9 coming Saturday alone. They are 2 Barber Quarters dated 1897 and 1909-d (both in the same hole), 2 Standing Liberty Quarters, 1 a No-Date S Mintmark and ANOTHER 1917-d Variety 1 in about F-VF Condition with a price around $50-$80, 1 Seated Dime dated 1890, 5 Barber Dimes dated 1899,(2)1901,1906, and 1916-s, 4 Mercury Dimes dated 1916-s,1919-d,1920, and 1924-d, along with 2 Roosevelt Dimes dated 1946 and 1959-d. I also found 3 Nickels which were 1 Liberty V-Nickel dated 1909 and 2 Buffalo Nickels dated 1936 and 1937-d. 1 Token surfaced as well, being a Good For 5c In Trade Maverick Token with the number 2901 on the back. 1 Indian Head surfaced this time out dated 1883. Should be more Indians somewhere? As for Wheat Pennies, I found another 62 of them with 1 being totally unidentifiable with only the figure of Lincoln slightly showing,1909 VDB (first one ever found with VDB),10,11,15-d,16,16-d,(2)17,(3)18,(3)19,21-s,(2)24,(4)25-d,(3)27,(2)28,(3)29-d,(2)30-d,33-d,(2)35,(2)35-d,36,36-d,37,41,(3)41-d,44,(3)44-d,(2)45,(2)45-d,45-s,46-d,(2)47-d,49-d,50-d,51-d,53-d,54-d, and 56-d. Some other Misc. finds were a Love You Junk Ring, a Key, a Button, 1 Play Money Dime, 2 Cuff Links, and 2 Pins. The first Pin says Bob Cat Cubs B.S.A and the other So. Dakota Young Citizens League. Those were the finds made and will be doing another return trip this weekend to work this site to death. The finds will most likely be down but it will be fun getting what is left. Until next time, Good Luck and HH to you all and thanks for looking once again. [attachment 63668 Silver.jpg][attachment 63664 StandingLibertyFront.jpg][attachment 63665 StandingLibertyBack.jpg][attachment 63675 NickelsandToken.jpg][attachment 63681 IndianandWheats.jpg][attachment 63682 Misc..jpg]

That quarter is especially sweet. And some seated to boot. I found two type I's within a couple blocks of my house.

It's been real dry here, only working construction sites. May head up your way soon. Will shoot you an PM if I do.

Drooling in WI,

Chris

I talk to Tim right away on Saturday as he called me while I was in Duluth,MN to let me know what you guy all found. Being it was so good I was wondering if you would post them until after this next weekend when you go back. I want to join you too, but will have to see what happens. I think Tim will be calling you too as he wants to go back and hit it some more too.

Very nice finds again James and waiting to see what will come out of the ground this weekend.

Rick

Let me know when and if your in the area again and then maybe I can take you to this spot or some others that I have yet to check out. Good Luck and HH until then.:detecting:

There should be more and if a person works a tight pattern, the Coins should come out in some good numbers again. Good Luck and HH.

Nice Finds James, We knew that place was loaded when we where in there last year but we just never got back there again. I guess our loss is your gain. Keep up the nice finds

How far do you go out of town to detect? You may have to put a few miles on and start hitting other Towns Ballfields and Parks. You would be surprised what kind of finds are waiting for the average detectorist only say 50 miles away. Hope you find some Silver soon and Good Luck and HH.

You wouldn't even believe it if I was to even say where this site is and what it is. I was surprised that no-one has been working this site due to it being a No Brainer! But I will call it very close to Virgin Ground since apparently no-one has detected it for a long time it seems. Thanks for the response and Good Luck and HH to you.:detecting:

The thing is that I invited Tim along with his friend for the day and Tim is in the same Club as I am. He is currently in 1st Place while I am in 2nd Place which don't bother me at all. The point is getting out with fellow bud's and having a good time finding what we both enjoy finding, and that is Coins and Relics. No matter who has what for Find Of The Month, or how many points they gain or lose the next month, it is a hobby to be enjoyed. Thanks again Crow-Duck and Good Luck and HH.

Nice to find Silver in good quantities like this but everything comes to an end sooner or later, and I just hope it is later than sooner myself. Thanks for the post and Good Luck and HH.
