Southern California Coast Detecting???

grumpy

New member
Morning;
Can someone tell me in the metal detecting world if the coast along southern california is good to detect and open to metal detecting in general? We are planning to relocate and considering close to like San Diego or those parts but want to be able to get out to beaches without to much trouble and metal detect.
Dont have any idea if it is off limits or open to metal detecting ??
Thanks for any info

Grumpy, If you read my thread, "Had a Great Week!", and others, you can see that beach detecting can be very good on southern California's beaches. There are some private beaches but plenty of public beaches where detecting is allowed. In the past month I have hunted at 5 different beaches from La Jolla to Malibu without any problems. Good luck!
