spent an hour at the local park with my Explorer II and pro coil

I really like the pro coil, you can run the sensitivity much higher without problems than you can on the stock coil. When I came home I had only found a silver-plated hair barette, a rivet and one fat penny. There is no clad to get in your way at this park but all the good finds are very deep. 7in beavertails are not an uncommon dig.lol I can't wait to hunt the yards of some old homes with the new coil.

The deep stuff is waiting for you !!l..u in NY Phil?

I'm in east central Indiana just 3 miles from the Ind/Ohio line. The park is not that old but the site was used for settler's meets and also had a fairgrounds and horsetrack in the 1800's. I don't really like to hunt parks so I don't go to this place much. I do better at old home sites in fields or yards of older homes. I got a dozen large cents out of those fields last year along with a lot of other coins.
