supposed to have wind chill factor down to 10 to 14 below zero in the morning! I feel for those children who have to ride the busses and wait in the cold wind....I pray they are okay and held close and warm in Jesus' arms and God's Children, too, who have to be out driving and in the bad weather! Wind gusts have been bad all day with whiteouts at times! More of the white stuff is supposed to come in again by weekend! And oh, there have been several states with dead birds falling from the sky and Sullivan, MO just had lots of Starlings and other birds fall from the sky last night or today! They claim it is the suddenly, cold weather but I wonder??? They are going to test them to try and find out the cause of so many falling down to earth! Hope everyone can stay warm and don't get frost bite and etc. May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty

This is the cold weather we had when I first came to ST. Louis, MO in 1953! The weather was soooo cold it would freeze your breath, your sinuses and make your eyes tear up! But I was a lot younger then and could stand the cold better than I can now! January and February are usually our worst months...there was white stuff on the ground and very cold the night I had my first daughter, Susan in 1956! I could look out the window from my room and see all the whiteness outside! We've had hot, hot summers and cold, cold winters and I am so glad that it doesn't last forever! Like the Spring and Fall, but they don't seem to last long enough!  May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty

I noticed on the news that many, many schools are closed here in ST. Louis and all the way down South so that is better for the kids and they can have some more sledding fun on another day off school because of the COLD weather! Ma Betty

all the fun back in Illinois when I was a kid. My father just remembered all the shoveling of snow. So we came to Arizona to get away. Still glad we did, Steve

stay inside and stay warm! We got about 3" today so I will be out very early plowing!

Well, Steve, you did know what the White Stuff was like and remember the fun you had in it....but good ole dad just remembered how much shoveling he had to do! I've done more than my share of shoveling the thick, wet, white flakes lying heavily on the ground and sidewalks but no more...it stays there or someone else does the work! ;) Be joyful in the Lord and stay happy in your retirement and ability to go :detecting: the year around! May God Bless! Amen! :angel Ma Betty

Thanks Mike...I am staying in where it is warmer but will have to check the mail and set out the trash for tomorrow's pickup as I haven't done it for awhile! Glad you have some work to do.....a little of the white stuff is better than nothing! May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty

Yeh, Mike (chgo area)! As if they haven't experience cold weather before...I am surprised the ungodly souls don't say that it is caused by Global Warming that's used for everything now days! Grrrrrrr! They want to say anything that would cost the people more money if they can get by with it! May God have mercy upon all of us, especially His Children! Amen! Ma Betty

Thanks Martin....Yes, I am, as I wear my winter house coat a lot and it keeps me warm when not in bed under the nice warm covers! I often think and pray for those who don't have a warm home and bed to sleep in...makes my heartache with sadness for them! So many rich have too much and many who have too little! Sure is an unjust world but Praise God and Thank You, Jesus, for the Justice we have through our blessed Savior! May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty
