Steel and silver

Hi all.

Getting used to my Quattro, I took a little bit more time on the wet sand lately.

This morning I was rewarded with two rings : the left one is made of stainless steel:rolleyes: while the second one is a decent silver one.

The silver one was at an impressive depth (I guess 11").

Great detector !

Hello Nick, Great finds, they are very nice looking rings, you look to be doing ok with the quattro. Now you have tried it for over a month does it hold its own with the other detectors you have owned?

Hey nick hunter nice going on the rings ! Glad to see that your getting the hang of things and yes the Quattro goes very deep . Congrats . :usaflag::thumbup:

Thanks for the comments.

To answer John's question, I should say that I'm very glad 8 acquired the Quattro. The unit is better than everything I owned before, BUT I still won't use it on every outing basis.

I'm a beach hunter. Beach hunting is made of coinshooting AND jewelry hunting.

As far as coinshooting is concerned and in the summer months only, I still prefer to take out one of my Bhunters : they are light, and the depth is sufficient for all the recent losses. They are also very good on euro coins, and euro coins are of high value compare to other countries, so coinshooting on the beach is a very important activity.

An example : Last Wednesday I found over 67 euro with the BH. That is about US $ 100. The value of two normal wedding bands.

When the low tide time fits my hunting time, I take the Quattro, starting to look for coins and ending on the wet sand.

The Quattro will be of greater utility AFTER the summer season. Indeed, one can then start to look for deeper coins, and rings on the wet sand. Also, after storms, it will surely provide me with good finds. more relax approach than avid coinshooting (also due to the presence of many "tourist" competitors in the holiday months).

So my experience with the Quattro is more than positive. Far better on the wet than my former PI units, may them rest in peace !!

HH

Nick
